His age was 79, wife Mary was 78 and daughter Nance was 40.

Dear Helen,
Came on long enough to retrieve you note about hearing
from me first before you put the page 3 on , but had to jump in the shower
and get to the dr. by 2:25, so had to wait until now to answer. I don't
know if you added after I first printed off what you had the first time
or not, as I was never able to go back to the page, so will just comment on
the ones I have.
In the first group, under children of John Steele and his wife Mary, you
show Azariah Steele Stephens. He was not their son. He was the husband
of John and Mary's daughter, Clarissa Steele.
Clarissa and Azariah are my gr-gr grandparents. The William you
show as their son (1828-1905) is a son of John and Mary's son David Steele
who m. Margaret Garrison.The Thomas B. Steele you show as their son
(1841-1916) is a son of John and Mary's son John Steele who m. Nancy
Agnes Bowen.
When you get over to the cemetery listings in Garards Fort Cem:
Jacob Steele and wife Sarah A. --he is a s/o David Steele and Margaret
Garrison, not of Jesse Steel and Rachel Zook.
Cora Steele Vance is d/o of Jacob and Sarah, but the granddaughter
of David Steele and Margaret Garrison (not Jesse and Rachel).
The ones you are unsure of:
David Steele, d. 23 Feb 1842 and is son of John and Mary. He m. Margaret
Garrison.
David Steele, who d. 5 Apr 1915 is s/o Jesse Steele and Rachel Etta Zook.
John Steele, d. 20 Jun 1863 is the original John who m. Mary and the
information you have is his will in book 4, p. 57.
Jesse Steele is same way, s/o John and Mary and will book info.
John Steele, d. 3 Aug 1878 (believe this is error) is s/o John and
Mary and his will book info.
John Steele, d. 3 Sep 1877--this was a date given as John's d-o-d. in
part of his will papers, but believe earlier date was error as this
paper was registered 20 May 1878.
I have notes that some papers concerning John's estate are in will
book B, p. 135 and more in willbook 8, p. 511.
the Nannie E. Steele would be this John's daughter, Nancy Ellen Steele.
Jacob Steele is correct.
John Steele, who d. 20 Sep 1916 is s/o David Steele and Margaret Garrison.
David is s/o John and Mary.
The Nancy Steele, d. 3 Oct 1890 is d/o John and Mary.
The Thomas B. Steele is probably the s/o John Jr. and Nancy Agnes Bowen.
The Rebecca Steele, d. 23 Apr 1917 would be Rebecca E. Stevenson,
who m. Thomas B. Steele (s/o John Steele Jr. and Nancy Agnes Bowen).
R.C. Keener is Rebecca's son-in-law. He married her dau. Artie Belle Steel.
The Thomas J. Steele, d. 8 Nov 1910 must be the one in your line
??T.J. Steele, who d. 26 Apr 1911 is s/o James Steele and Jane Turner.
James is s/o John Sr. and Mary.
Thomas B. Steele, d. 12 Apr 1916 is s/o John Steele Jr. and Nancy
Agnes Bowen. He is husband of above Rebecca E. Stevenson.William Steele,
d. 14 Jan 1905 is s/o David Steele and Margaret Garrison.
The Emma Knotts is his daughter, Emma, who m. Ira D. Knotts.
In the Steele Cem listings:
You have Laura, d/o James and M. Steele with the dates for the one
below her, Maggie Bell. Laura d. 29 Jun 1874, age 3mo 21da. farther
down in Steele cem. again:
Just a typo on Elmer W. Steele---he d. 6 Mar 1964, not 53-6-1964
And Thomas B. Steele d. 1916, not 1936.
