      THE GRANLEE FAMILY

      ...John GRANLEE was the first known Granlee to migrate to America. He came from Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, the voyage took 10 weeks.
      He came in 1814. He married Isabelle DITTERLINE
      , d/o William DITTERLINE of Eastern Pa. They were married in 1820.
      John GRANLEE was born in 1783 and died in 1868. Isabelle (DITTERLINE) GRANLEE was born in 1792 in eastern Pa. They lived near
      Waynesburg, Pa. William F. was the s/o John & Isabelle. He married Sarah PHILLIPS
      . They had Joseph S. GRANLEE, who married
      Anna WELLS. The parents of Bessie May (GRANLEE) HUFFMAN
      , my grandmother. The parents of Anna (WELLS) GRANLEE were William
      WELLS, d. 9-Apr.1907, and Harriet (KNIGHT
      ) WELLS, b. 25-Oct.1791. The parents of William WELLS were born on the Atlantic Ocean*

      DITTERLINE & PHILLIPS-update!!

      William DITTERLINE died in
      Greene County, Pennsylvania, His will can be found in Greene County Will Book 2 1831-1846 on page 116.
      He lived in Franklin Township, Greene Co., Pa. and died in 1839. He was married to Mary GARVIN
      . Four received their legacy: John DEVALL;
      George FETTY
      ; John GRANLEE, and John BRADFORD. Joseph Chamberlain and his wife were appointed. The will was written 1-Jan.1831
      and Filed 21-Dec.1839. Their daughter Isabell b. 1792 in Eastern Pa., died 27-Nov.1881 in her 90th year. She married ca 1820 to John Granlee.
      He was born ca 1783/5 in County Fermanagh,
      Ulster, Ireland. He died in 1868. Their son William T. GRANLEE, who married Sarah PHILLIPS.
      She was the daughter of Richard and Abigail STARKEY
      PHILLIPS. Richard PHILLIPS: b. 24-Feb-1799, Greene Co., PA, (son of Edmund
      PHILLIPS: and Catherine FARLEY:) occupation Farmer, m. Abagail STARKEY:, b. 3-Nov-1800, Wayne Twp., Greene Co., PA,
      (daughter of Jesse STARKEY: and Rhoda TERRY
      :) d. 25-Mar-1870, Pennsylvania, buried: Wayne Twp., Greene Co., PA. Richard died
      28-Dec-1869, Greene Co., PA, buried: Wayne Twp., Greene Co., PA. I have written for permission to include the entire Phillips tree on this page.

      KNIGHT & WELLS-update
      Harriet KNIGHT, b. Greene County, Pa. was the daughter of James KNIGHT, of Greene Co., Pa. who died and left info in the Orphans Court
      Docket December term, 1851 (source: Greene County Orphan Court Docket book #3, page 156) James KNIGHT, of Greene County, Pa.,
      wife Cassandra, children: Harriet and Jemima, under 14, Abner Hoge
      , appointed, and James, over 14, Eli KNIGHT appointed.
      William F. WELLS, who died 9-Apr.1907?, was the possible son of James WELLS of Center Township and Rhoda ORNDOFF
      , who were both
