The men had done 3 months and 5 days service. They were paid 6 and two
thirds dollars in Continental Currency as No 7-18-4. The Captain received
$40. for services in Currency No 47-10-10. This Company fought in the
      Wheeling vicinity.
The letters of Lewis Bonnett, who was uncle of Lewis, Martin and Jacob
Wetzel, say that Jacob and Lewis were with the Lewis and Clarke expedition
in 1803-04 and that Lewis deserted it at the end of 3 months, but that
Jacob came back as far as Indiana where he lived until his death. He was
buried along the White River in Indiana.
These documents were found together in an old dresser drawer of relatives
      of the Bonnetts and Wetzels.
Copied from the original paper at the State Museum of Charleston, West
Virginia, formerly owned by Senator George W Bowers of Mannington, West
      Virginia.
