George Huffman recorded 19 Aug 1757 made same date between Thomas Schley in Frederick Town for 12 pounds current money Maryland, sells lot in Frederick Town #55, 60 ft. by 181 ft., with all advantages, to pay annual rents to Daniel Dulaney. Stephen Ramsburgh, John Bruner, George Huffman, and George Linganfelter, Elders of the Dutch Reformed or Presbyterian Congregation in Frederick Town, recorded 14 May 1764, made 12 May between Daniel Dulaney of Annapolis, Barrister at Law, son & heir at law to Daniel Dulaney, deceased. Whereas Daniel Dulaney deceased did agree to sell and upon request to convey a certain lot or portion of ground for the use of the said Congregation, and did receive the consideration for the same, but departed this life without conveying the same, now this indenture witnesseth that in consideration of the premises, and the conditions hereinafter mentioned, sells all that lot whereon the Church or place of worship belonging to and set apart for the use of the Congregation has been built and constructed, to be set aside for the use of the congregation, and upon the condition following the that they shall pay one shilling current money for five years, commencing the 3d Tuesday in November, and after 5 years the sum of 2 shillings yearly. Signed Daniel Dulaney, Stephen Ramsburgh, Johannes Bruner, George J. Hufman, George Lingenfeltner. Witnessed by John Darnall, Stephen West. HUFFMAN, Zachariah I make this note from a list of Huffmans, which we copied previous to 1947, to the effect that Zachariah was a son of David & Arrose (Dillworth) Huffman, born Cumberland Co., in 1739, and located in Center Township, Greene Co., in 1771.
