Mildred E.Garletts, 92 of Lancaster ,formerly of Brownsville, died Thursday at the
Menonite
Home after an illness. Miss Garletts retired in the late 1970s from the former
R.S. Goldsteins,
Brownesville, where she sold fine ladies clothing for more than 40 years.
She was a member of Fort Burd Presbyterian Church and had been a Sunday school
teacher
at the former First Presbyterian Church, both of Brownesville.
Born in Jefferson Township Fayette County, she was the daughter of the late
Charles and
Elizabeth Miller Garletts. Surviving are a great-nephew, Gary, married to Twila
Garletts,
with whom she had resided in Lancaster; and other nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by all of her brothers and sisters.

Nelson Goslin and Elizabeth Hagan Goslin's son John Wesley Goslin of Belle
Vernon was married twice.
First wife was Mary Albright whom he married 15 November 1865.
They had six children before she died 27 Oct 1885.
1. Eliza(Lida/Lyda) b.1866 married John C. Lynn. Their only child was
Arthur born 1887. John Lynn was dead by 1900, she was marked "widow" in
that census.
2. Charles A. b.1868 married a Helena "Lena" and they had a Donald born
1891.
3. Mattie B. born in Kansas 1872 during short period the family had moved to
Atchison, possibly to continue Nelson's business there. Don't know her married
name; thought she
might be a Hixenbaugh.
4.Nettie Augusta b.1875 married Charles Clyde Patterson, a farmer of
Westmoreland County.
They had five children: Claire(male), Margaretta, Clyde, Frances, Annie.
5. Louella b.1877 married William A. Zundel and had at least two daughters:
Virginia and Pearl. One of them may have been the Mrs. Frank Lewellyn of
Brownsville, or there may have been a third daughter.
6. Hellen b.1882 married Charles Ausburn. Had a daughter who married John
Reynolds. That family
lived in the Donora area.
John Wesley Goslin(1835-1905)'s second wife was Nancy Adeline Bell.
Theyhad a daughter Ethel b. 1889 died unmarried in 1935. Their only son was
John Nelson Jr. born 22 Sep 1891d.19 Feb.1892.
Adeline, Ethel, Charles, Helena and Donald, in Belle Vernon and
Nettie Patterson in N. Belle Vernon in the 1910 census.

imagine a Uniontown paper.He died January 01, 1962 .His wife was
Catherine Meyers ,I would be interested in any researcher on this

George Washington Basinger
Obituary
George W. Basinger, 94, of 110 Hill St. , Everson , died monday
afternoon in a Uniontown hospital.
He was born Sept. 6, 1867 in Springfield Twp. Fayette Co. Pa. and
was a retired Timberman. Surviving are three sons, Benjamin F. of
Uniotown, William of Everson, James D. of North Canton, Ohio, Two
daughters, Mrs. Rebecca Frieberg of Woodale, and Mrs. Elizabeth
Santore, with whom he lived, 27 grandchildren, 70
great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. His wife
Catherine died in 1914.
The body will be at Brooks Funeral Home after 7 pm today. The
funeral service will be held there at 2:00 Thursday with Rev. Bruce
Rodaker afficating. Interment will be at Normalville Cemetery.

Albert N. Goslin
Pastored Church of Prophecy
Albert N. Goslin, 60, of Washington, formerly of Thomas Campbell
Apartments, died Friday, February 5, 1999, at Washington Hospital.
He was born July 22, 1938, in Prosperity, a son of the late Albert N.
and Edna H. Sullenberger Goslin.
Mr. Goslin was a former pastor of Church of Prophecy in Washington and
Donora.
He attended Washington High School, and from 1956 to 1960, he served
in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Coral Sea.
Mr. Goslin resided most of his life in Washington, where he worked as
a truck driver for Smith's Appliances and Ashmore's Florist.
Surviving are a sister, Annetta R. Goslin of Waynesburg; a brother,
James Bock of Cleveland, Ohio; and one aunt, Clara Nuzum Reed of
Washington.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are his foster parents, Charles
and Emma Goslin Jeffries.
There will be no visitation, and services will be private. Behm
Funeral Home Inc. of Waynesburg is handling the arrangements.

Worker dies at VW plant, Aug. 9, 1978
A Perryopolis man died yesterday when he apparently suffered a heart
attack and fell some 20 feet from an overhead beam at the Volkswagon
plant near New Stanton.
ANDREW REBOVICH , 51, of Hancock Street , Perryopolis Pa., was
pronounced dead on arrival at Frick Community Hospital in Mount
Pleasant about 4:30 P.M.
REBOVICH, an employee of FISCHBACH and MOORE Inc. of Pittsburgh, an
electrical subcontractor at the Volkswagon plant, was standing on some
structural braces near the ceiling changing a light fixture
Westmoreland County Deputy Coroner, DENNIS JOHNS, said that the
results of an autopsy showed that REBOVICH had a heart condition.
JOHNS said that the injuries sustained in the fall did not appear severe
enough to have caused death.
Born July 2, 1927, at Superior , REBOVICH was a member of St.
Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church of Perryopolis.
He is survived by his wife, DOROTHY LETANOSKY REBOVICH , two
daughters, Mrs. GERALD ( NANCY ) DZARA of Pittsburgh, and SUZANNE
REBOVICH at home,a son, ROBERT, at home, his father, STEPHAN REBOVICH,
of Perryopolis, three sisters, Mrs. SAMUEL ( HELEN ) KROLIK and EDWARD
( ANN) REGULA, both of Belle Vernon, and Mrs. THOMAS ( ELLA ) STEWART
of Fayette City, three brothers, JOSEPH and THOMAS of Perryopolis and
JOHN of Belle Vernon.
He was preceded in death by his mother, CATHERINE SABULA REBOVICH on
June 14, 1952, and a sister, CATHERINE BYERS on Feb. 9, 1978.
Friends will be received in the Blair - Lowther Funeral Home in
Perryopolis, 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. today. A prayer service will be
held at 9:30 A.M. tomorrow, followed by Divine Liturgy at 10 A.M. in St
Nicholas Church with the Rev. MICHAEL G. PIPIK as celebrant. Burial will
follow in the church cemetery.
Parasata services will be held in the funeral home at 7:30 P.M. today.
