Beers, 1893 pg. 23-4 states he was Scotch-Irish; a Captain in the Revolutionary War and died in Morristown, NJ, leaving a wife and 10 children. She moved in 1789 to Ten Mile Creek, Washington County, Pa. 4.back She was found in the 1820 Finley Twp. He and wife were members of the Upper Tenmile Church and read sermons for the congregation when the pastor was absent. He was a school teacher and a good reader. His residence was in Richhill Twp., Will Book 7, pg. 33. 27.back His death appears in B1 of the death records in Waynesburg Courthouse. His age was 78 yrs. Born Greene County.
