Duvall family trace to Sieur HUGH DUVALL, a native of France later part of
12th century.
Mareen, Huguenot immigrant to Maryland, arrived in province of Maryland 28
August 1650. On the day of his arrival he received the patent of a tract of
land on the south side of South River, in Anne Arundel County near the site of
New London.

Abigial Elizabeth POWELL had five brothers that came west to this area with
her and Alexander and what I beleive are other Duvall siblings of Alexander's..
1 Duvall wouldn't strike out without those other DuValls that can not find
kin I bet they are mostly siblings of Alexander11's. I do not have Alexander
the first's will still looking for it. I have some data on him.
Especially since so many Powell's came with them.

Good old Mareen Duvall data. HE was not oldest in family did not inherit
land there so came here since he would not have done better there. Someone
once sent me data on a major family squabble and so he was one of the first
sons to come here. Somewhere in files there is more data this line goes back
to 1200.s in France. I just got old computer working again so I can open old
discs and retrieve data. I just have to get house squared away so I have
place to set it to do this. WRONG season for remodeling let me tell you.
As soon as I can locate the files on Mareen and John (Capt), Alexander and
Alexander the son whom mar Abigail Elizabeth Powell who had another John as
first born son.
