======================= Margaret Ann Hartley Oliver, 91, of Avella, RD 3, died at 7:20 a.m. Friday, September 14, 1990, in Washington Hospital. Born March 29, 1899, in Wileyville, WV, she was a daughter of Wilford and Louella Wiles Hartley. On May 20, 1916, she married Ben McCoy, who is deceased. She later married John J. Oliver on May 20, 1932, who is also deceased. Mrs. Oliver lived in Avella since 1965. She was a member of the World Wide Church of God, Washington. Surviving are a daughter, Mr. Louis (Gladys) Kaposy of Avella RD 3; two sons, Russell M. Oliver, Sr. of Claysville; and Clarence E. Oliver of Uniontown; 19 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great- grandchildren; and three sisters, Olive Pyles and Dorothy Lemasters, both of Columbia City, IN, and Bessie Strait of Goshen, IN. Deceased are five sons, Bryan, Goff, Harold, Elmer Dail, and James McCoy; two sisters, Letha and Leona; and three brothers, James, Ransel and Frank Hartley. Services were held Monday, September 17 with Tom R. Smith, minister officiating. Interment was in Sand Hill Cemetery, Greene County.======================= PROMINENT WOMAN OF HARVEYS PASSES AWAY- Mrs. M inerva Orndoff, Aged 80 Years, Widow of John Orndoff, Dies Following Gradual Decline in Health--- HARVEYS, March 14, 1920--Mrs. Minerva Orndoff, aged 80 years, widow of John Orndoff, one of the most prominent and highly respected women of the section, died at her home here yesterday, following a gradual decline in health due to infirmities of her advanced years. The death of her husband occurred several years ago. Mrs. Orndoff was a daughter of the late Mathias and Sarah McClain Roseberry. She had spent practically her entire life in this district. She was for many hears an active member of the Unity Presbyterian Church. Four children survive: Oscar F. and John Barclay Orndoff, of Harveys; Dr. Benjamin H. Orndoff, a prominent physician of Chicago, and Mrs. Alice M. Dawson, of Creston, Ia., all of whom were at the bedside of their mother when her death occurred. Mrs. Sarah Phillips, of near Cameron, W.Va., is the only surviving member of her family. Funeral services will be held at the Orndoff home Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment will be n the Rogersville Cemetery.======================= Rosa A. Orndoff, 66, widow of Budd L. Orndoff, of Waynesburg, RD 4, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 1947, at her home on Smith Creek, after an illness of two years. Death was due to complications and she had been bedfast for the past three weeks, seriously ill. She was born March 28, 1880, in Wayne Township, near Spraggs, a daughter of the late Arthur and Rebecca Grove Hoy. She spent all her life in that community. She is survived by one son, Arthur Orndoff, Waynesburg, RD 4, and one grandson, Louis L. Orndoff. Also surviving are three brothers, T.J. Hoy, Marysville, Ohio, D.J. Hoy, Spraggs and Simon Hoy, Kughntown. She was a member of the Fairall Methodist Church. More: Funeral services for Mrs. A. Orndoff, widow of Budd L. Orndoff, died at 6:15 o'clock tonight in her home, Waynesburg, RD 4. She had been in failing health for two years and was seriously ill the last three years. Mrs. Orndoff, a daughter of Arthur and Rebecca Grove Hoy, was born March 20, 1880, in Wayne Township, near Spraggs, and spent all her life in that community. Since her marriage she lived in the home where she died. Her husband died July 7, 1942. She was a member of the Fairall Methodist Church. Survivors are one son, Arthur Orndoff and one grandson, Lewis L. Orndoff, both at home, and three brothers, T. J. Hoy, Marysville, Ohio; D. L. Hoy, Spraggs, and Simon Hoy, Kuhntown.=======================
