WILL OF GEORGE SELLERS OF GREENE CO. PENNSYLVANIA 1837
No. 868 WILL OF GEORGE SELLERS
I George Sellers of Center Township, Greene County, State of Pennsylvania, Farmer, do make and publish this my Last Will and testament hereby revoke and make void all other wills by me heretofore made. First I commend my soul to God who gave it and my body to the dust from whence it came. I also direct that my body be decently intered and that my funeral be conducted in a manner corresponding with my estate and situation in life and as to such worldly estate as it hath pleased God to intrust me with. I dispose of the same as follows:
first I direct that all my debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon after my decease as posable [sic] out the first money that shall come into the hands of my executors from any portion of my estate.
Secondly--I direct that my beloved wife MARY shall have a sufficiency provided for her from the proceeds of the land in due time for her that is to say I direct that she shall have for her own use one horse, two cows, six sheep with pasture and food for them off of the land with the priveledge [sic] of our house we now live in with the household furniture beds and bedding so long as she shall live. I also diret [sic] that my land on which I live and lying along the creek be divided in three lots as follows. Beginning with lot number first and starting on the south side of said land and running the line across the creek and through the land to the north east side of the land, so as to cut off to the left in lot number first one hundred and fifty acres of land the line to stop eighty rods north of the Bearmore line. I also direct that a line be run through the balance of the land so as to make them nearly equal lots as the case may be commencing as the other line did on the south side and passing through to the north east side making lots number second and third of this tract of land.
Thirdly--I give and bequeath unto my son ASA SELLERS that lot of land first mentioned up the creek called lot number first by the said Asa paying five hundred dollars to the heirs as follows one hundred dollars to David and George Sellers for the use of the heirs one year after my decease, three hundred dollars to my daughter SARAH BEANS heirs soon as they shall become of age share and share alike the said ASA SELLERS shall pay one hundred dollars to young ASA SELLERS son of CHRISTIAN and ELIZABETH SELLERS now residing some where on or near Middle Island when the said child shall become twenty years of age.
Fourthly--I give and bequeath unto my son GEORGE the third lot of land with the home house on it by admiting his mother's residence on it during her life and his sister MARY and her two children to live with her mother clear of charge so long as she shall live single.
Fifthly, I give and bequeath unto my son ATKINSON SELLERS the middle or second lot of land but nevertheless I direct that my brother DAVID and some other neighbour man divide the two lower lots between George and Atkinson so as to suit them both as near as may be commencing on the south side of creek and running to the north east boundry as may suit. I also direct that my sons GEORGE and ATKINSON pay unto my son JOHN SELLERS the sum of one thousand dollars in perportion [sic] of the valuation of their lots valued by DAVID Sellers and some other neighbour man the payments to commence two years after my decease at two hundred dollars a year till the sum is paid up to my son JOHN SELLERS. I also direct that my sons GEORGE and ATKINSON pay to my daughter MARY three Hundred Dollars in three euqal payments one hunrdred dollars each year the first payment eigth years after my decease yearly till all is paid. I also direct that the said GEORGE and ATKINSON must pay to my daughter MARY's two children the sum of three hundred dollars when they shall come of age share and share alike and I do hereby make and ordain my esteemed brother DAVID SELLERS, ASA SELLERS and GEORGE Sellers Executors of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I GEORGE Sellers testator of this my will written on one sheet of paper set my hand and seal this fourth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty seven.

Johnston Register for the probates of wills and granting letters of administration in land for said county personally appeared Richard Chedister and Thomas R. Chedister the two subscribing witnesses to the within instrument of writing and on their solemn oaths did say that they were present and saw and heard George SELLERS the testator within named sign, seal, publish and declare the within instrument of writing in his last will and testament and at the time of doing thereof his was of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge, observation and belief.

No. 879 WILL OF DAVID SELLERS
I, DAVID SELLERS of Centre Township, Greene County, PA being weak and indisposed of body yet being of sound mind and knowing the uncertainty of life, make this my last will and testament as follows:
Viz. 1st--I wish my wife ELIZABETH to have the use of the farm on which I now reside together with the stock and appurtionances [sp?] untill my youngest child becomes of age provided she should so long remain my widow.
2nd--I wish the farm stock and appurtionances [sp] at the expiration of the time above mentioned to be appraised and sold and the proceeds equally divided among my children my wife ELIZABETH retaining one third of the interest of the whole during her natural life or whilst she remains my widow.
3rd--I wish my wife ELIZABETH to have the interest of my bank stock and other moneys which may be left after my just and lawful debts are paid during her natural life or so long as she remains my widow.
4th--I wish my wife ELIZABETH to assist those of my children who may marry or leave home before my youngest child becomes of age as far as she can keeping a regular and just account of the same.
5th--I wish my wife ELIZABETH to have the use of all my house hold and kitchen furniture untill my youngest child becomes of age if she so long remains my widow and at the expiration of the above mentioned time the said household furniture to be equally divided among my children, my wife ELIZABETH retaining one third during her natural life or so long as she remains my widow.
6th--I wish my bank stock and the moneys as above mentioned to be equally divided among my children at the expiration of the time above mentioned.
7th--I wish what land may fall to me adjoining lands of Hickman and Sellers to be sold and the money put out on interest for the use of my wife ELIZABETH during her natural life or so long as she remains my widow and then to be equally divided among my children.
8th--I appoint Samuel Cleavenger Esq. my executor. D. SELLERS

Chedister and CHRISTIAN SELLERS two of the subscribing witnesses to the above and within instrument and upon their solemn oaths did say that they were present and saw and heard DAVID SELLERS the testator above named sign, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the above and within instrument of writing as his last will and testament and at the time of doing thereof he was of sound disposing mind, memory and understanding, according to the best of their judgment observation and belief.

No. 910 WILL OF CHRISTIAN SELLERS 1834/1839
This is the last will and testament of one Christian SELLERS of Franklin Township Green County Pennsylvania [??????]--
Item -- My will is that all my just debts and funeral expences be paid as soon as convenient after my decease.
Item -- I give and bequeath to my son CHRISTIAN SELLERS his heirs and assigns all my home plantation situate in Franklin township aforesaid adjoining lands of Joshua Thomas Joseph Throsmorton [sp?] and others containing about two hundred and forty acres including the thiry six acres bought of Hezekiah Stewart he the said CHRISTIAN paying and to pay to my ????? on one year after my decease the sum of two hundred and eighty five dollars and seventy cents my son CHRISTIAN has already paid to his sisters six hundred and fourteen dollars and thirty cents.
Item -- I give and bequeath unto my two grand children JOSHUA SCOTT and CHRISTIAN SCOTT children of JAMES SCOTT forty two dollars and eighty five cents cash payable in one year after my decease.
Item -- My will is that the residence and remainder of my estate after payment of all expences be divided into ten shares and each of my children to have one share and my grand children, the children of my daughter MARY SCOTT to have the other share.
Item -- I nominate and appoint my son GEORGE SELLERS executor of this my last will and testament given under my hand and seal DECEMBER 1, 1834.

on the 6th day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine before me George Hoskinson register, for the Probate of Wills and granting Letters of Administration in and for said county personally come A. Buchanan and Elizabeth Fry two of the subscirbing witness. Within names and on their solemn oaths did depose and say that they were present and saw and heard CHRISTIAN SELLERS the testator within named, sign, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the foregoing and annexed instrument of writing as and for his last will and
testament and at the time of doing thereof he was of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding to the best of your knowledge, observation and belief.
